Slew bearing rebuilds at 30% of replacement cost, how it works

A new large-diameter slew bearing for an excavator or crane is a serious purchase, and the lead time can be just as painful as the price. In a lot of cases you do not need a new one. You need your existing bearing assessed properly and rebuilt by people who know what they are looking at.

The offer, plainly

Have your existing OEM slew bearings condition-assessed by us for their potential to be fully rebuilt and warranted, for as little as 30% of their replacement cost.

That is the headline, and it holds up because of how we work. We manufacture, refurbish and repair large-diameter slew bearings for all the popular makes of hydraulic excavators, cranes and industrial equipment, including Komatsu, Liebherr, O&K, Caterpillar and Hitachi.

How the assessment works

Every bearing that comes in is assessed before any commitment is made. We look at the condition of the races, the rolling elements and the gear teeth, and we decide honestly whether the bearing is a candidate for rebuild. If it is, you get a warranted bearing back at a fraction of the new price. If it is not, we will tell you that too.

Because the slew bearing department sits alongside our machining, hard-surfacing and heat-treatment shops, the whole rebuild happens in-house. There is no shipping a part out to a third party and waiting.

Support out on site

Not every bearing job comes to us, sometimes we go to it. As a member of the Worldwide Slew Bearing Alliance with BMTWBM, we offer site-based condition monitoring and change-out. That includes an integrated excavator jacking and support stand system, in-situ bearing change-out tables and car body drive-out options, so a bearing can be changed where the machine sits.

The result is less downtime, a known cost, and a bearing that carries a warranty.

If you have a slew bearing you are not sure about, send us the details or call 07 4952 3444 and we will assess it.
