OUTAGE WORK, AND WHAT THE COMPONENTS NEED

For power stations we provide outage and shutdown support, relief operators and breakdown response, along with the heat treatment, machining and fabrication that critical plant components require.

Induction units from 200 kW to 400 kW at 3 to 10 kHz harden wear surfaces to 60 HRC at case depths of 3 to 15 mm. The computerised gas fired oven, 6.5 m by 5.5 m by 2.7 m high and rated to 800 °C, handles stress relieving and normalising after heavy welding. Both are available commercially, not only to our own workshop.

Machining, fitting and painting then finish the component in the same building, and detailed QA packages can be provided with all completed work.

CREWS THROUGH THE OUTAGE, POWER UP BEFORE IT SHIPS

Power stations are named work for our Field Division. We supply shutdown and project crews, relief operators and breakdown response, and under Queensland labour hire licence LHL-01983-S5B8T we supply planners, supervisors, relief personnel and trades.

Our Commercial Avenue site holds the largest 11 kV electrical power capacity at Paget, with our own switchyard and a range of transformer capacities including 3.3 kV to power up underground mining plant, so heavy electrical plant is tested and commissioned here before it ships.

Field work carries the same QA documentation we apply in the shop, so what was measured on site is recorded and signed off.
